Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Six (6) to twelve (12) months of inventory management experience
  • AZ Driver's License

Nice To Haves

  • Six (6) to twelve (12) months related work experience in a hospital stockroom or warehouse
  • Forklift operation certification and/or experience

Responsibilities

  • Disinfecting medical equipment and procedure carts according to department procedures.
  • Receiving, storing, issuing, and delivering medical supplies and equipment.
  • Preparing equipment and supplies for shipping when necessary.
  • Performing daily counts of par-level locations using hand-held technology or the materials management information system.
  • Entering data for stock items issued from inventory.
  • Maintaining all hospital inventory and materials management work areas in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Participating in the inventory and cycle-counting process as outlined by departmental procedures.
  • Receiving facility supplies, equipment and mail, ensuring all documentation is complete and any problems with the shipments are identified.
  • Sorting and delivering inter-office, U.S. Mail and packages per hospital procedure.
  • Processing out-going mail.
  • Providing courier services as needed.
  • Stocking facility inventory, conducting cycle counting, rotating inventory on a first-in, first-out basis.
  • Training Materials Management Technicians per policy and procedures.
  • Communicating work flow observations to Supervisor/Manager.
