Inventory Technician (2nd Shift)
About The Position
Trane Technologies is looking for an Inventory Distribution Technician-Consolidator to join their team at their St. Peters, MO location. This is a full-time, direct hire position. The role involves operating Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIV) such as forklifts, clamp trucks, reach trucks, and order pickers. The successful candidate will foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and open communication, promoting employee engagement to meet business objectives. This position reports directly to the Distribution Inventory Manager and may require periodic weekend/evening work. This is a 2nd shift position with hours from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM EST.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED not required
- Some warehouse and forklift experience preferred
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Must have valid driver's license
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience with consolidation is highly preferred
Responsibilities
- Safely operates PIV equipment (forklifts, clamp trucks, reach trucks, and order pickers) to load, unload, sort, stack, and stage product.
- Locates and picks material into/out of warehouse racks and between locations.
- Ensures that all equipment in use has been inspected and is in safe operating condition.
- Works with local and regional freight companies.
- Stocks and arranges product to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Enters inventory into software system.
- Ensures accuracy of part number, quantity, and other data field entries that impact electronic records of receipts, inventories, and location.
- Resolves discrepancies as necessary.
- Ensures that pallets are stable, have appropriate height, and are free of damage.
- Prioritizes the timely delivery or removal of designated materials to meet customer needs.
- Performs training, housekeeping, and other duties as assigned.
