About The Position

The Supply Coordinator ensures that all areas assigned to them have the necessary supplies. This role involves managing supplies through the MMIS system, which the Supply Coordinator helps to maintain. UofL Health is a fully integrated regional academic health system with five hospitals, four medical centers, nearly 200 physician practice locations, and over 700 providers. With more than 12,000 team members, UofL Health is dedicated to delivering patient-centered care.

Requirements

  • Three (3) years inventory control, organization, identification in a warehouse environment (required)
  • Proven knowledge of Warehouse Management System (WMS) functionality
  • Demonstrated information research skills related to inventory management
  • Displays strong organizational skills – manages time effectively, keeps tasks appropriately prioritized and delegates appropriately; works proactively- anticipates and plans for problems before they arise; is able to perform work in a neat, efficient, well-coordinated, well communicated manner with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) preferred
  • Understanding of or ability to learn Premier Connect Supply Chain, Spend Dashboard, Supply Chain Advisor (enterprise-based)

Responsibilities

  • Processing of supply requisitions for assigned areas.
  • Maintains the order guides and par carts within the MMIS for all assigned areas.
  • Coordinates product conversions to ensure proper implementation for their assigned areas.
  • Helps to coordinate supply storage changes with the department.
  • Acts as a supply liaison for their assigned department handling supply needs.
  • Tracks orders to ensure that supplies are received in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Tracks backorders and follows up with purchasing and the department to get product in, which may include finding a different supplier or a substitute product.
  • Maintains compliance with all company policies, procedures and standards of conduct.
  • Complies with HIPAA privacy and security requirements to maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
