About The Position

The Inventory Supply Chain Coordinator role is responsible for coordinating the acquisition and distribution of all healthcare-related supplies following budgetary guidelines and hospital policy. This role ensures the accuracy and efficiency of material inventory replenishment, participates on relevant committees, and acts as a liaison between nursing, purchasing, and supply chain management. The coordinator manages the purchase of supplies through the materials acquisition process in collaboration with selected vendors, conducts routine monitoring of supply usage, and adjusts to meet needs while remaining compliant with budgetary requirements. Decisions are made independently and/or in collaboration with the Team Lead, Supply Chain Manager, Nursing staff, Physicians, and other members of the healthcare team. The role also involves providing an atmosphere that supports the Mission-To Heal, To Educate, and To Care, and acting as a driver of Continuous Improvement to align with organizational goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3-5 years related work experience

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates the acquisition and distribution of all healthcare related supplies following budgetary guidelines and hospital policy.
  • Assures the accuracy and efficiency for the flow of material inventory replenishment.
  • Participates on relevant committees, such as VAT.
  • Acts as liaison between nursing, purchasing and supply chain management.
  • Coordinates the purchase of supplies through our materials acquisition process in collaboration with selected vendors.
  • Conducts routine monitoring of supply usage and adjusts to meet usage needs, keeping compliant with budgetary needs.
  • Make decisions independently and/or in collaboration with Team Lead, Supply Chain Manager, Nursing staff, Physicians and other members of the health care team.
