The Inventory Specialist will be responsible for managing the inventory of all vehicles at the facility within company timelines. This role involves documenting vehicle condition using company-provided tools and standards, including comprehensive inventory and supporting photographs. The Inventory Specialist will also direct traffic flow in the receiving area to ensure timely processing of vehicle inventory and facilitate the Copart experience by offering solutions to meet customer needs, all while adhering to Copart policy. This position requires monitoring, maintaining, and organizing the receiving area, operating a camera, and using a handheld inventory device to process incoming vehicles. Additionally, the role involves determining the operational capability of motor vehicles, completing vehicle inspection inventories (TLEs), maintaining an inventory of materials, and ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety requirements. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Must be 18 years or older
Ability to work outdoors in all seasons
General automotive knowledge/mechanical aptitude preferred
Basic computer proficiency, with the ability to operate handheld devices preferred
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work in a team environment
Driver's license preferred
Bilingual skill a plus.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the inventory of all vehicles at the facility within company timelines.
Document vehicle condition within company standards, including a complete inventory and supporting photographs of each vehicle.
Direct the flow of traffic in the receiving area to ensure timely processing of vehicle inventory.
Facilitate the Copart experience by offering solutions to meet customer's needs.
Monitor, maintain and organize the receiving area.
Operate camera and utilize a handheld inventory device to process incoming vehicles.
Determine operational capability of motor vehicles.
Complete vehicle inspection inventories (TLEs) on required vehicles.
Maintain inventory of all materials used.
Compliance to company policies and procedures.
Compliance to safety requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
