This role successfully performs all shipping, receiving, and inventory control tasks and associated ERP transactions. The Inventory Specialist will also support supply chain projects as requested. The position requires performing ERP system transactions related to receiving, inventory movements, material issues, transfers, and goods receipts using available equipment including handheld scanners. The specialist will receive incoming materials, verify quantities, condition, and documentation against purchase orders and packing slips, and put away goods receipts into designated inventory locations in a timely and accurate manner. Responsibilities include pulling, kitting, and staging materials for various orders and production requirements, and owning the replenishment of shop floor materials to ensure uninterrupted production. The role also involves crating instruments and packaging spare parts and other products, accurately completing associated check sheets, and operating all material handling equipment safely and efficiently, including performing pre-operation inspections. The Inventory Specialist will perform scheduled and ad hoc cycle counts, investigate inventory discrepancies to maintain accuracy, and maintain inventory integrity through accurate transaction processing, adherence to procedures, and keeping inventory secure. Stocking materials in designated locations, ensuring proper identification and organization, tracking and verifying inventory counts, and preparing materials for return to vendors are also key duties. The role requires initiating actions to ensure a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment and actively participating in continuous improvement initiatives related to shipping & receiving, inventory control, and shipping.
