About The Position

Filterbuy, Inc. is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Inventory Specialist for a long-term position in Ogden, UT. This role involves performing daily cycle counts, reviewing and troubleshooting inventory transaction issues, and collaborating with Manufacturing and Shipping departments to resolve discrepancies. The ideal candidate will possess unwavering professionalism, meticulous accuracy, excellent math and observation skills, and a strong understanding of basic computer programs. Responsibilities include receiving, storing, and distributing materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, participating in product counts, and putting away finished goods. The Inventory Specialist will work closely with their supervisor to prevent losses and ensure efficient inventory management. This position requires excellent physical stamina and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

  • 1 year in a warehouse/ manufacturing environment required.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Excellent computer skills and working knowledge of word processor, database, and spreadsheet software.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects at one time in an efficient and timely manner is essential in this position.
  • Basic understanding of inventory control procedures preferred.
  • Good understanding of quality control principles.
  • Willing to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
  • Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear).
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to develop ways to improve overall efficiency and overcome inventory problems.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and procedures.
  • Constant walking, standing, and working on feet (10hr shift). On average 15,000 to 25,000 steps a day.
  • Consistently perform repetitive actions that entail frequent grasping, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, and pivoting.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Visual acuity to read instructions and inspect products produced.
  • Consistently stretch/ reach with both hands and arms.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Basic understanding of inventory control procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains consistent stock of inventory.
  • Maintains accurate daily records of goods received.
  • Maintains inventory systems; facilitates updates to related databases and/or software under the direction of the inventory supervisor.
  • Ability to properly prioritize workload.
  • Communicate with other departments.
  • Receiving, storing, and distributing materials, equipment, merchandise, supplies, and products.
  • Conducts frequent spot checks and daily audits of physical inventory.
  • Use pallet jack to put away finished goods in the appropriate location and consolidate.
  • Assists with periodic (at least annual) physical inventory audits.
  • Assist in training less experienced inventory workers.
  • Operates forklift when necessary.
  • Performs other related duties as requested.
