About The Position

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing inventory at medical centers, ensuring minimal disruption to patients and staff. This role involves establishing and maintaining strong relationships with administrative and center staff, communicating effectively regarding inventory levels, backorders, and discrepancies. The specialist will maintain the center inventory database, ensure adequate supplies for operations, and travel to multiple centers as directed. Additionally, the role requires operating and maintaining medical and office equipment.

Requirements

• Employee must be 18 years of age or older
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Ability to lift moderate to heavy items (25 to 50 pounds)
• Ability to unpack, move, and lift boxes required
• Ability to travel and provide own transportation
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong computer and analytical skills
• Ability to prioritize and multitask

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of medical supplies a plus
• Experience in purchasing, inventory, or related business environment preferred

Responsibilities

• Ordering, receiving, and stocking inventory at medical centers with minimal disruption to patients and staff
• Establishing and maintaining excellent relationships and open lines of communication with all administrative and center staff
• Communicating with center and Materials Management Department staff regarding backorders and order discrepancies
• Maintaining the center inventory database
• Ensuring inventory and supplies are adequate for center operations
• Traveling to multiple centers as directed
• Operating, using, and maintaining medical and office equipment as trained
