About The Position

Copart, Inc. is a global leader in online vehicle auctions, connecting sellers with over 750,000 buyers in more than 190 countries. The Inventory Specialist will be responsible for managing vehicle inventory at the facility, ensuring timely processing and documentation of vehicle conditions with photographs according to company standards. This role involves directing traffic in the receiving area to ensure efficient processing and facilitating the Copart experience by understanding company policy and meeting customer needs. The Inventory Specialist will also maintain and organize the receiving area, operate cameras and handheld devices for vehicle processing, determine vehicle operational capabilities, complete vehicle inspection inventories, and maintain an inventory of materials. Compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety requirements is essential. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all seasons.
  • General automotive knowledge/mechanical aptitude preferred.
  • Basic computer proficiency, with the ability to operate handheld devices preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Driver's license preferred.
  • Bilingual skill a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory of all vehicles at the facility within company timelines.
  • Document vehicle condition using company-provided tools, including a complete inventory and supporting photographs.
  • Direct the flow of traffic in the receiving area to ensure timely processing of vehicle inventory.
  • Facilitate the Copart experience by offering solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Monitor, maintain, and organize the receiving area.
  • Operate camera and utilize a handheld inventory device to process incoming vehicles.
  • Determine operational capability of motor vehicles.
  • Complete vehicle inspection inventories (TLEs) on required vehicles.
  • Maintain inventory of all materials used.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with safety requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
