About The Position

This role is responsible for overseeing activities related to inventory management, including reconciling purchase orders, completing coding of accounts payable and supplier statements relating to supply, material, and product orders within a fast-paced, national non-profit First Nations organization. The Inventory Specialist will work on a team dedicated to meaningful work, applying their skills and passion for the benefit of others while learning from a wellness-focused team. Requirements

  • An SSGD (Secondary School Graduation Diploma), GED (General Equivalency Diploma) or equivalent.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in the field.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software including word processing, database, and spreadsheet applications.
  • Demonstrated efficiency in collaboration, planning and multitasking so that tasks are prioritized and completed within set deadlines.
  • Excellent customer service skills demonstrated by providing prompt, attentive and courteous service.
  • An ability to collaborate and work as a contributing team member working toward set objectives and goals.
  • Skills to work well with all levels of the organization and communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
  • A capacity to make sound decisions while under pressure and solve problems effectively.
  • Skills to compile and analyze data and produce reports as required.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • The capacity to meet the physical requirements of this job including bending, lifting heavy boxes, moving supplies and packaging.
  • Skills to function autonomously with flexibility and adapt to change in a busy environment.
  • High regards for organizational health, and its safety policies and procedures.
  • Excellent skills at record keeping and an ability to analyze and interpret large amounts of data.
  • Demonstrable cultural competence and an ability to interact effectively with others, particularly with First Nation communities/societies.
  • A high level of professionalism and the ability to always maintain confidentiality.
  • An ability to attend work locations not accessible by public transportation.
  • Adherence to a strict confidentiality policy.
  • Willingness to sign an Oath of Confidentiality and observe the Code of Ethics Policy.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of EZ Office Inventory.
  • Experience with preparing international shipments, including customs documents.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining Thunderbird Partnership Foundation’s inventory by loading, unloading, sorting and moving shipments.
  • Verifying, receiving, counting and inputting inventory into the inventory database of all incoming and outgoing supplies/materials.
  • Checking inventory condition ensuring they are of good quality.
  • Working closely with management and overseeing multiple orders from various teams.
  • Developing and improving existing procedures aimed at preventing losses.
  • Maintaining inventory levels through accurate records.
  • Completing inventory counts on a scheduled basis.
