About The Position

Inventory Specialists maintain inventory of commodity items, finished goods, and project-specific gear. They perform daily, weekly, and monthly audits to ensure inventory quantities are current and accurate for procurement. The role works within a scheduled shift between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. or 6 p.m. and 6 a.m., Monday through Friday, depending on assignment. The schedule may vary based on customer demands and may include nights, weekends, and holidays. Travel is 0–10%.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 5 years of experience in a related area.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, telehandlers, and hand trucks.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the inventory system, and facilitate related database or software upgrades under the direction of the purchasing or inventory control manager.
• Assess inventory reports and order patterns to identify items for automatic, recurring delivery.
• Provide inventory reports to the receiving supervisor and procurement teams.
• Maintain accurate daily records of goods received and shipments made.
• Maintain consistent inventory stock.
• Pull and pack products based on daily orders.
• Keep products separated, organized, and in good rotation.
• Use a continuous improvement mindset and help identify process improvement opportunities.
• Conduct frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory.
• Assist with periodic physical inventory audits, including daily, weekly, monthly, and annual audits.
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, telehandlers, and hand trucks.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
• Place materials at point of use in assembly and warehouse environments.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA and company safety requirements and ensure proper safety procedures are followed.
• Actively maintain 5S principles throughout the work area.
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
