About The Position

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for returning yarn to the correct bin location, ensuring accurate inventory transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This role operates within the Filling Staging department and adheres to ISO 9001 work instructions and standards. The position requires the ability to operate specific equipment and maintain safety protocols.

Requirements

Good communication skills with the ability to work well with others.
Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
Must be able to discern colors and pass a color blindness test.
Must have a license to operate PIT equipment (i.e., cherry picker, etc.).
Training done in-house.

Responsibilities

Determine yarn put up from Supervisor and/or designated location (Includes both High/Low locations).
Place yarn into the correct bin location.
Stack yarn neatly and in the correct position as per ISO work instruction.
Perform all SAP transactions correctly and adjust yarn properly.
Return empty yarn buggy to the assigned area.
Keep yarn bins clean and in order when putting up yarn.
Bag all “white” returned yarn if not already bagged.
Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor, including all 5S assignments.
Work scheduled overtime.
Perform all duties in a safe manner following guidelines established by Valdese Weavers.
Report all job-related injuries and safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
Actively participate in safety programs that identify, investigate, and correct safety hazards.
