About The Position

The Inventory Specialist Supervisor will oversee daily inventory operations, ensuring accuracy across receiving, storage, and shipping processes. This role involves managing cycle counts, adjustments, and leading root-cause analysis on inventory discrepancies. The supervisor will also manage and support inventory staff to achieve productivity and accuracy targets, and partner with Operations to maintain proper slotting, labeling, and storage standards. Ensuring compliance with company SOPs, customer requirements, and audit standards is crucial. The role requires monitoring inbound receiving vs. system alignment, validating ASN/RN accuracy, and resolving inventory variances. Maintaining location accuracy and controlling bin-to-bin movements within the WMS are key responsibilities. The supervisor will lead inventory investigations, coordinate resolutions, and track/analyze inventory KPIs. Support for month-end close processes, reporting, and reconciliations is expected, along with driving process improvements and standardization. Training and coaching team members on inventory procedures, compliance, and WMS/RF usage are also part of the role, as is ensuring proper documentation and record retention.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent required
  • Proficiency in software like SAP, Oracle, or specialized inventory systems.
  • Ability to analyze data using tools such as Excel, SQL, or data visualization software (e.g., Tableau).
  • Understanding of supply chain processes and methodologies like Just-In-Time (JIT).
  • Experience with process improvement techniques (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Skills to resolve issues with inventory systems and technologies.
  • Minimum of Three (3) Years' work experience in Supply Chain, Logistics or Warehouse setting required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily inventory operations, ensuring accuracy across receiving, storage, and shipping processes

  • Monitor inbound receiving vs. system alignment to prevent shortages and overages
  • Validate ASN/RN accuracy and resolve inventory variances tied to inbound and outbound activity
  • Maintain location accuracy and control bin-to-bin movements within WMS
  • Lead inventory investigations and coordinate resolutions with Operations, Receiving, and Shipping teams
  • Track, analyze, and report inventory KPIs (accuracy %, adjustments, cycle count results, shrink trends)
  • Support month-end close processes, reporting, and inventory reconciliations
  • Drive process improvements and standardization across shifts and workflows
  • Train and coach team members on inventory procedures, compliance standards, and WMS/RF usage
  • Ensure proper documentation, controls, and record retention for audits and compliance
