About The Position

The Inventory Handler receives, moves, stores, and stages materials needed for production. This role is responsible for keeping physical inventory aligned with transactions in NetSuite or the company’s ERP system. Most material movement is performed using a small forklift. The Inventory Handler helps ensure production teams have the right materials in the right location when needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Experience in inventory handling, warehouse operations, or manufacturing materials preferred.
  • Experience operating a forklift; ability to complete company-required forklift training and authorization.
  • Ability to use an ERP system or learn NetSuite transactions.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records while working in a busy production environment.
  • Ability to read item labels, part numbers, work orders, and receiving documents.
  • Ability to perform the physical duties of a material-handling role in a manufacturing environment, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming materials, verify quantities and item information against receiving documents, and report shortages, damage, or discrepancies.
  • Record receipts, transfers, material movements, and other required transactions accurately and promptly in the ERP system.
  • Move materials safely between receiving, storage, staging, and production areas using a small forklift or other approved equipment.
  • Stage the correct materials for scheduled production work and communicate shortages or delays to the Production Manager.
  • Store materials in their assigned locations with clear identification so they can be found and counted easily.
  • Perform cycle counts and other inventory checks; investigate and report differences between physical inventory and ERP records.
  • Maintain clean, organized receiving, storage, and staging areas. Keep aisles and access to safety equipment clear.
  • Inspect material-handling equipment before use and follow company safety procedures when lifting, stacking, and moving loads.
  • Work with Production, Purchasing, and other teams to resolve material and inventory issues.
