About The Position

Reporting to the Materials Manager, the primary purpose of the Inventory/Receiving Clerk is to ensure the receipt and accuracy of all incoming purchase orders and to ensure all sales orders are fulfilled in a safe, timely, accurate, and complete manner. Requirements

  • 1 year minimum experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Forklift/ Lift Truck certificate.
  • Working knowledge of Metric and Imperial measurements.
  • Working knowledge of hardware types and descriptions.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate computers, equipment, and tools.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and occasional kneeling or crouching, as required.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and work safely in the assigned work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Data entry of incoming receiving records into the ERP system, verifying incoming materials to match the packing slip.
  • Unload, store, label and organize all incoming materials.
  • Handle intercompany transfers and ICPO's through ERP system.
  • Perform any necessary inventory transactions required in ERP system.
  • Gather, package, document and load all hardware required for each order based on the specifications detailed within the Sales Order, Work order, Bill of Materials and Packing Slip or other documents as provided.
  • Visual inspection of incoming products for damage or defect.
  • Assemble hardware kits as required.
  • Accurately label and photograph required hardware in accordance with RS procedures.
  • Conduct accurate hardware inventory counts as required.
  • Perform weekly and monthly inventory counts of raw materials as required and/or cycle counts.
  • Operate power tools and heavy equipment as required.
  • Participating in continuous improvement activities.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Comply with all Company, Local and Federal Rules and Regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
