About The Position

At Daktronics, you'll be part of something extraordinary. Our products bring excitement to professional, college, and high school games, attract customers for businesses globally, and provide direction for people as they travel, work, and play. This is a temporary position with a 4/10s schedule, Monday through Thursday, from 4:30 PM to 9:30 PM, with overtime as needed. The position is located in Brookings, South Dakota, in the HSPR department.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to successfully participate as a member of a team.

  • Ability to learn and execute different tasks throughout the day.
  • Keyboard skills required.
  • Accuracy with numbers.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Willingness to work in a dynamic and flexible work environment.
  • Operate mobile equipment (tugger, forklift, automated pallet jack).
  • Ability to frequently lift and carry of up to 35 lbs.
  • In some areas, the ability occasionally to frequently lift and carry up to 45 lbs.
  • Work with your hands.
  • The ability to stand for the full 10-hour shift with planned breaks.
  • Ability to move items to various manufacturing departments.
  • Ability to push/pull or carts.
  • Be able to work around odors (solder/paint).
  • Ability to work overtime.
  • The selected individual must be able to travel by air and ground and comply with the Daktronics Driver Eligibility Policy to begin and maintain employment. This requirement will be verified through a motor vehicle record (MVR) check conducted in accordance with applicable federal, state, provincial, and local laws.
  • Fluent in English, written and verbal.
  • Applicants must 18 years of age or older.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in receiving, warehouse, inventory, or materials management preferred.
  • The understanding of material flow in a manufacturing environment also preferred.
  • Prefer experience with Excel, Word, Outlook, and/or Glovia ERP system.

Responsibilities

  • Pull parts to fill work orders.
  • Handle inventory count discrepancies.
  • Flexibility to work in all manufacturing departments.
  • Learn and train employees in all Inventory tasks including: Work Order and pulling, Data Entry, Bulk Staging, and other tasks and procedures.
  • Safely and responsibly use tools and safe lifting practices.
  • Correctly follow written instructions.
  • Accurately record work done.
  • Consistently complete quality work in a timely manner, including repetitive tasks.
  • Quickly learn new tasks and accurately perform these tasks as assigned.
  • Work effectively as a team member, work with little supervision, help when and where needed, make suggestions for process and product improvement, and communicate effectively with team members.
  • Be at work on time and maintain good attendance; follow company guidelines and policies.
  • Receive and verify incoming material.
  • Kit materials and gather documentation needed for production.
  • Perform physical cycle counts and material audits as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as needed to meet customer expectations.
