The position involves using equipment like cherry-pickers and stand-up forklifts to put away parts, scanning labels to assign locations, and placing items in the correct bins. Requirements

  • 0-1 year of experience in warehouse operations, stocking, or inventory control.
  • Limited or no prior experience with scanning systems; training provided.
  • No leadership experience required.
  • 2-4 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or putaway processes.
  • Prior experience using scan guns and warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Familiarity with operating different types of warehouse equipment (e.g., cherry pickers, forklifts).
  • 5+ years of experience in warehouse logistics, inventory control, or putaway management.
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a warehouse setting.
  • Extensive experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and scanning technology.
  • Strong problem-solving skills for handling complex inventory discrepancies.
  • Basic understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.
  • Ability to use scanning devices and follow putaway procedures.
  • Familiarity with warehouse storage locations and binning processes.
  • Proficient in warehouse putaway processes and inventory tracking systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor discrepancies in bin locations.
  • Knowledge of storage optimization techniques to improve efficiency.
  • Advanced knowledge of warehouse logistics and putaway strategies.
  • Ability to analyze and improve storage processes for better efficiency.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting inventory errors and adjusting bin locations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Scan items upon receiving and allow the system to assign a storage location.
  • Transport items to designated locations using the correct handling equipment.
  • Ensure items are placed in the correct bins for efficient retrieval.
  • Follow safety protocols for handling and moving items.
  • Work under supervision and seek guidance when necessary.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness in the storage area.
  • Meet daily productivity and accuracy goals for putaway tasks.
  • Be able to lift up to 50 lbs as part of the job function while using safe lifting requirements.
  • Independently scan, sort, and transport items to correct storage locations.
  • Assist in optimizing bin locations for better warehouse efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot minor inventory discrepancies and report issues.
  • Communicate effectively with other warehouse teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Help train and mentor Level I employees in proper putaway procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational protocols.
  • Maintain high accuracy in putaway tasks to prevent misplacements.
  • Oversee daily putaway operations and ensure smooth workflow.
  • Monitor and analyze putaway efficiency, making recommendations for improvements.
  • Train, mentor, and oversee Level I and Level II associates.
  • Resolve discrepancies related to bin locations and storage errors.
  • Coordinate with inventory control teams to improve warehouse organization.
  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure all team members follow proper procedures.
  • Assist in warehouse optimization projects to enhance productivity.
