NIC Global•Gallatin, TN
•$75,000 - $90,000•Onsite

About The Position

NIC Global is seeking a hands-on leader to own Production Planning and Inventory Control for its three Midwest sheet metal fabrication and assembly plants. The position turns customer demand into capacity-feasible production schedules, establishes and maintains inventory plans, and ensures ERP planning data and inventory records are accurate so the plants can ship on time with the right inventory. The role directly supervises Tennessee planning and cycle-counting staff and provides process direction to planners in Ohio and Texas. It works closely with Production, Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, Shipping, Accounting, and Sales. The supervisor leads the planning and inventory control function, sets team expectations, and develops standardized processes across the plants. The role manages inventory parameters and reporting, weekly capacity planning, production scheduling and work-order release, cycle counting and inventory accuracy, MRP data integrity, material variance analysis, and key performance measures. It also coordinates responses to shortages and customer delivery requirements, manages work-in-process and engineering-change impacts, and contributes to special projects such as new product or customer ramp-ups, interplant work transfers, and ERP and reporting improvements. The position is based in Gallatin, Tennessee, with occasional travel to the Ohio and Texas plants. It is mostly sedentary and office-based, with participation in cycle counts that may require climbing stationary ladders and the ability to lift 25 pounds with or without accommodations. NIC describes its workplace as a fun atmosphere with employee appreciation events, holiday parties, cookouts, company gifts, and other recognition programs. Benefits include health, dental, vision, life, AD&D, and long-term disability insurance; additional insurance options and flexible spending accounts; a 401(k) with employer match; tuition reimbursement; PTO accrual; and paid holiday hours. Offers are contingent on passing a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
