Inventory Planning Expeditor
About The Position
The Inventory Planning Expeditor supports inventory planning and material coordination at WECTEC Staffing Services’ New Stanton, Pennsylvania site. The role reports to the Manager of Site Operations and Inventory and focuses on expediting requisitions, coordinating subcontracting and procurement requirements, tracking material risks, and helping planners resolve shortages. The position participates in planning meetings and coordinates with buyers, internal stakeholders, engineering, quality, and suppliers to support timely material availability. WECTEC Staffing Services describes safety as a guiding principle and offers competitive pay. The estimated base pay is $26 to $28 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and skills.
Requirements
- Two or more years of experience in inventory planning, purchasing, supply chain, logistics, manufacturing support, or material coordination.
- Experience working within an enterprise resource planning system such as SAP.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and expedite open purchase requisitions, requests for quotation (RFQs), and material requirements.
- Coordinate subcontracting requests, including work package readiness, material availability, purchase order status, supplier commitments, required documentation, and planned completion dates.
- Maintain visibility of aged requisitions, overdue actions, pending approvals, and material risks.
- Conduct routine follow-up with buyers and internal stakeholders to support timely execution of required actions.
- Support Inventory Planners with material availability analysis and shortage resolution.
- Coordinate engineering and quality release requirements affecting material procurement.
- Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly planning meetings to communicate the status of critical materials.
