About The Position

Traffic Safety Supplies, a Helix Traffic Solutions company, is seeking a dependable, organized, hands-on Inventory & Operations Specialist. The role supports efficient inventory management, daily branch operations, customer service, order preparation, deliveries, and fleet maintenance and driver safety compliance. It offers opportunities to develop skills, take on additional responsibilities, and grow within the company. The position includes receiving and processing shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records in NetSuite, organizing stock, preparing customer orders, supporting branch operations and deliveries, and helping maintain vehicles and related compliance records. The specialist may also assist customers, sales-counter staff, other departments, and branch projects as needed.

Requirements

Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Basic computer skills and ability to learn NetSuite and Samsara.
Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to use common hand tools.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities without constant supervision.
Flexibility to work overtime or assist with late deliveries when business needs require.
Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and/or pull materials weighing 50 lbs. or more on a regular basis.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, climb, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and perform manual labor throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

Receive incoming shipments, verify quantities, and inspect materials for discrepancies or damage.
Process inventory receipts and transfers accurately in NetSuite.
Organize and put away incoming merchandise; monitor inventory levels and keep shelves and displays stocked.
Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts, resolve discrepancies, and maintain clean, organized inventory and storage areas.
Pull, prepare, and stage customer orders for pickup or delivery.
Assist customers with loading materials and equipment.
Load and unload company vehicles, delivery trucks, and incoming shipments.
Make occasional local deliveries, customer pickups, and supply runs as needed.
Assist with inventory transfers between branches.
Assemble and prepare products, including applying logos, decals, and other customizations.
Help the sales counter and other departments when additional support is needed.
Assist with basic maintenance, repairs, cleaning, organization, and miscellaneous branch projects.
Support daily branch operations wherever needed.
Assist the Branch Manager with fleet maintenance and driver safety requirements.
Track vehicle inspections, registrations, oil changes, and routine maintenance; help schedule maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
Help monitor and follow up on Samsara alerts involving driver safety events, vehicle maintenance, and compliance-related issues.
Help ensure drivers complete required vehicle inspections (DVIRs).
Follow up on reported vehicle issues and communicate outstanding concerns to the Branch Manager.
Maintain accurate vehicle maintenance and inspection records.
