About The Position

The Inventory Management Specialist performs hands-on inventory operations that support manufacturing, assembly, and customer shipments. This position is responsible for receiving materials, validating receipts, processing ERP transactions, stocking inventory, issuing materials to production, staging outbound orders, and maintaining stockroom accuracy. The role requires consistent attention to detail, timely transaction processing, safe operation of material handling equipment, and adherence to inventory control procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and material handling equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of inventory control, stockroom, warehouse, or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • ERP and inventory management system experience preferred.
  • Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, verify, label, and store incoming materials.
  • Process receiving transactions and resolve discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing, Quality, and Supply Chain as needed.
  • Perform cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Maintain FIFO, lot control, and serial tracking requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory variances.
  • Pick and issue materials for production and customer orders.
  • Stage materials according to production schedules.
  • Process material returns and maintain staging areas.
  • Maintain a clean, organized stockroom.
  • Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
  • Support storage optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Process inventory transactions accurately.
  • Maintain inventory records and traceability documentation.
  • Communicate shortages, damages, and inventory concerns.
