About The Position

Our Blood Institute is seeking an Inventory Management Representative in Lawton, Oklahoma. This role delivers and retrieves processed and unprocessed blood, blood products, donor and patient samples, derivatives, equipment, and supplies to and from hospitals, mobile blood drives, centers, clinics, doctors’ offices, and research facilities. The position involves driving in all types of weather and at all hours of the day and night, and includes scheduled on-call availability. Days and hours vary. Pay is $13.50 or based on education and/or experience, including shift differential. The posting also offers a $500 bonus after six months and a $1,000 bonus after one year.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 21 years of age.
Valid driver's license.
Driving record must have zero points and no moving violations or accidents within the last three years; a copy of the driving record must be provided before hiring.
Comfortable driving in severe weather during all hours of the day and night.
Able to lift at least 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

Deliver, retrieve, distribute, and transport blood products, samples, equipment, specimens, and supplies as necessary.
Process and prepare orders for distribution of blood and blood components for customers.
Retrieve and secure products from assigned locations at closing, including confirming products are boxed and taken to the main center, checking the platelet rotator, and checking empty boxes for other blood products.
Be available and respond to scheduled on-call duties.
Coordinate product pickups with satellites and mobile blood drives.
Conduct minor maintenance and upkeep of vehicles and equipment used for daily operations.
Perform quality control and equipment maintenance as appropriate.
Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor or management.
