About The Position

This role involves performing physical or administrative tasks to support the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. The contractor will be responsible for managing inventory, ensuring accuracy, and supporting production schedules. This position requires good computer skills, some receiving experience, and knowledge of material handling procedures and EHS requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Good basic computer skills.
  • Some receiving experience.
  • Knowledge of material handling procedures and Environmental Health and Safety requirements.
  • Ability to lift heavy items.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.

Responsibilities

  • Perform physical or administrative tasks supporting the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment.
  • Reject unsatisfactory items where necessary.
  • Receive incoming materials, unpack, and check goods received against purchase orders or invoices.
  • Verify quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications.
  • Maintain records of received goods, process freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents.
  • Stock and distribute materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.
  • Support stockroom functions such as picking, counting, allocating, and moving stocked material to accommodate Service Level Agreements with programs to meet production schedules.
  • Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts upon receipt of internal certification.
  • Communicate with contacts within the team to provide information requiring explanation or interpretation.
  • Follow established processes to complete routine tasks and escalate issues to supervisors for resolution.
