About The Position

The Inventory Maintenance Technician, under the supervision of the Assistant Utility Manager, provides maintenance, oversight, and control over a wide variety of Utility-related inventory, tools, equipment, and warehouse and shop spaces. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory control of parts, tools, equipment, and safety items. Ensures equipment and supplies are available for service by providing appropriate levels of preventative maintenance on equipment such as pumps, compressors, generators, saws, and other tools and items.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of three years related experience required.
  • Knowledge of small engine repair and maintenance procedures.
  • Valid state Motor Vehicle Operator’s license and acceptable driving record required.
  • Strong Computer Skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office and tablet usage.
  • Working knowledge of supplies and equipment necessary to operate a water distribution and wastewater collection system.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and written.
  • Working knowledge of applied principles of electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Effective oral and written communications skills.
  • Skilled in the use of standard desktop office software and other applications.
  • Skilled in small engine maintenance and repair.
  • Skilled in welding and fabrication.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining accurate inventory control of parts, tools, equipment and safety items.
