About The Position

Responsible for all assigned tasks relating to inventory control, including maintaining inventory counts and communicating inventory needs and status to Operations management. Leads Team Members with Operations and Manufacturing including: Assembly, Controls, Fabrication, Service Parts orders. Partners with Team Leaders to provide mentoring, coaching and guidance on the day-to-day operations for all manufacturing team members.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years experience with cycle counting/inventory control
  • Ability to interpret engineering documentation utilized for manufacturing.
  • Ability to differentiate colors, make decisions, work independently, and use basic hand tools.
  • Knowledge of production/quality standards, and assembly procedures/processes.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including WORD and EXCEL (Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Be able to conduct audits for Quality, 5S and Safety
  • Can identify unsafe conditions and report them to the department team leader, supervisor, manager, or EH&S Specialist
  • Experience in QAD or other ERP systems is required
  • Minimum High School Diploma or G.E.D (Required)
  • OSHA-approved forklift license
  • Basic knowledge of Kanban principles and LEAN techniques
  • 0-3 years manufacturing industry
  • 0-3 years supervisory experience

Responsibilities

  • Prepares work, assigns work, oversees work product, and associated documentation.
  • Ensures effective communication is maintained with all Team Leaders/Members and the enforcement of safety policies and procedures.
  • Leads and train others to perform daily cycle counts using QAD ERP systems.
  • Accurately cycle count items per daily schedule.
  • Reconciles inventory variances.
  • Identifies item variances requiring recounts based on company policy and request recounts.
  • Monitors and controlling inventory integrity.
  • Maintains product identification, location accuracy.
  • Identifies and implements root cause of inventory inaccuracies and help implement corrective actions establish, maintain, and report out weekly metrics.
  • Operates power industrial equipment, specifically forklifts
  • Utilizes a warehouse management system to review inventory data
  • Works closely with the Operations and Purchasing departments to ensure a resolution to inventory errors in a timely manner
  • Moves material within the warehouse and manufacturing plant
