About The Position

The Inventory Coordinator supports safe, efficient, and on-time production by assisting warehouse operations and maintaining accurate inventory records. This role ensures inventory accuracy through cycle counting, discrepancy investigation, physical verification, and timely system transactions. The position works closely with buyers, the supply chain team, and cross-functional partners to communicate and resolve inventory discrepancies, material shortages, and system inaccuracies that impact production and purchasing.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience in inventory control or warehouse operations within a manufacturing or production environment
  • Experience performing cycle counts and physically verifying inventory
  • Experience investigating inventory discrepancies and completing transactions in an inventory or ERP system
  • Forklift operation experience (current or previous certification)
  • Proven problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail and accountability.
  • Effective oral/written communication skills, planning, multi-tasking and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage by influence through solid relationships and process focus.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and push or pull up to 100 lbs. with or without accommodation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using AS400 or a similar materials or inventory management system
  • Experience working directly with buyers or supply chain teams to resolve material issues
  • Experience supporting production operations where inventory accuracy impacted schedules
  • Participation in routine production or cross-functional meetings

Responsibilities

  • Conduct scheduled and ad-hoc cycle counts, physically verify inventory, investigate discrepancies, and complete real-time inventory transactions to maintain system accuracy
  • Partner with buyers and cross-functional teams to resolve material issues, validate counts, and communicate risks, delays, and findings
  • Ensure materials are properly labeled, located, and audited using inventory systems and tools including DMM, AS400, and the Material Synchronization Spreadsheet
  • Participate in cross-functional production meetings ranging from daily to weekly
  • Operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials while complying with safety regulations, company policies, and maintenance requirements
  • Comply with all safety policies and WSRA standards and perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility to support overall operations
