About The Position

The Inventory Coordinator ensures inventories are secure, properly identified, and readily accessible to production. This role maintains control over various types of inventory, including raw materials, subassemblies, and finished goods. The Inventory Coordinator conducts physical inventory counts, reconciles results with inventory records, and ensures the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments. They also analyze inventory levels and coordinate with production and sales requirements, initiating and managing transactions to maintain inventory records.

Responsibilities

• Monitors inventory levels of product on order, in transit, received, in stock, and/or in production
• Inputs data of inventory use in computer systems and generates reports
• Reviews inventory levels with sales and customer service representatives to minimize inventory orders
• Makes recommendation for re-order of materials and may enter purchase orders
• Verifies and determines proper inventory levels/counts
• May collect information and create reports as needed
• May fill in for, assist, or interface with other plant support functions including, but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, customer service/order entry, proofreading orders, scheduling, shipping, receiving, ordering supplies, and receiving visitors
• Performs other duties as assigned
