About The Position

To support the materials management area, purchase drugs and supplies under the control of Pharmacy, manage floor stock drugs/inventory, receive pharmaceutical products and inventory to the Pharmacy Department, maintain and support systems that provide floor stock meds, and function as a Pharmacy Technician as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Current Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required
• Current New Jersey Pharmacy Technician Registration required
• Proficiency with pharmacy information systems, inventory software, and Microsoft Office applications

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree or additional college coursework preferred
• Three to five years of hospital pharmacy technician experience preferred
• Experience with medication purchasing, inventory management, automated dispensing cabinets, or pharmacy supply chain preferred
• Knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations, medication procurement, inventory management, automated dispensing cabinets (Pyxis), controlled substance handling, and purchasing processes
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical nomenclature, dosage forms, strengths, storage requirements, and inventory control principles
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
