As an Inventory Coordinator, you will act as a liaison between the department and Supply Chain Management to ensure that inventory levels reflect the department’s needs and are managed by established policies and procedures. A caregiver in this position works days from 6:00 a.m. — 2:30 p.m.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license (VDL) to drive box truck and meet all of Cleveland Clinic insurance requirements
  • Two years of experience in inventory control functions with responsibility for par levels, purchasing functions, inventory analysis and usage trends OR an associate’s degree in supply chain management or a related field

  • Computer systems experience that includes bar code readers, handheld computers and printers

Responsibilities

  • Maintain inventory integrity.
  • Resolve shipping and receiving issues directly with the vendor or carriers.
  • Monitor reports and resolve discrepancies.
  • Provide technical set up and maintenance of automated ordering systems.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve any automated ordering system issues.
  • Proactively monitor the system to prevent ordering issues.
  • Verify accuracy of receipts and orders filled.
  • Participate in consignment audits.
  • Adjust par levels based upon usage within the ERP system.
  • Provide technical set up and maintenance of automated ordering system.
  • Develop and implement new systems or manage changes of existing systems when necessary.
  • Respond to recalls as directed by the FDA or other agencies.
  • Assure that the facility meets regulatory requirements in the handling of biohazardous waste.
  • Coordinate backorder process to supply inventory.
  • Notify users of back orders and work to identify alternate products.
  • Prepare broken or returned equipment for shipment and maintain documentation of returns.
  • Manage consignment inventory items.
  • Rotate stock within defined areas and perform routine expiration management to meet KPIs.
  • Receive storeroom stock items from shipping and receiving area, unpack and inspect items for damage, verify accuracy of shipment and input information in the warehouse management system.
  • Possibly, handle returns by completing technical documentation and other required communication.
  • Deliver supplies and materials to appropriate floors and health care facilities.
  • Monitor the flow of traffic into dock areas, prioritizing deliveries ensuring the safe receipt of goods and supplies.
  • Verify accuracy of shipments, check for damage to goods and document variances of orders.
  • Prepare goods and supplies for distribution, prioritize deliveries, and sort and label loads ensuring the safe, correct and timely delivery of orders.
  • Stock picking locations using warehouse management system; either manually or utilizing materials handling equipment according to identifying information; size, style, and numbers, ensuring the safe movement of materials.
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical counts of stock for inventory control verification and rotates stock to minimize loss of materials.
  • Survey, fill, and stock Nursing floors and clinical areas to maintain inventory levels.
  • Deliver items using necessary equipment to appropriate hospital locations, unloads and unpacks cases and stocks designated storage areas with supplies.
  • Respond to inquiries related to materials in stock, ordering procedures, status of item, or filled orders.
  • Maintain cleanliness of storeroom area; collects pallets from area and stacks for pick up.
  • Complete six months of on-the-job training.
