The Inventory Controller Senior leads the daily activities of the inventory control staff, ensuring adequate levels of material and/or product inventories are maintained.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree General Business required
  • Can accept experience in lieu of a degree
  • 5-7 years supervisory experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
  • Working knowledge of AS400
  • Strong analytical and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal as well as written communication skills
  • Good organization and business administration skills, attention to detail, willingness to improve, learn and adapt in accordance with the modern practice methods
  • Ability to supervise, control, manage, instruct and lead others to complete the assigned tasks
  • Computer skills, especially Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Ability to manage time effectively, as they may need to handle multiple functions and meet the deadlines consistently
  • Ability to function independently with minimal supervision and should be self-motivated

Responsibilities

  • Monitor results by shift/work area and communicate inventory and quality metrics to Inventory Supervisor/Manager
  • Conduct analysis of inventory discrepancies and collaborate with operations to mitigate recurrence of issues
  • Monitor systematic replenishment and direct completion of replenishment activities
  • Leading, coaching, mentoring, and developing teammates on job functions/procedures to achieve objectives and productivity goals
  • Planning, monitoring and managing actual performance against operational standards
  • Account for in-stock merchandise conditions by audit, create exception reports and optimize inventory turns
  • Create and maintain a robust cycle count program
  • Analyzes and reports inventory discrepancies and slotting issues
