About The Position

As a world leader in creating comfortable, sustainable, and efficient climate solutions for buildings, homes and transportation, Trane Technologies is looking for an Inventory Distribution Technician-Consolidator to join their team at their Atlanta, GA location. This is a full-time, direct hire position. This role has been designated by the Company as Safety Sensitive. The successful candidate will foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and open communication, and promote employee engagement with the team that enables the team to meet business objectives. This position reports directly to the Distribution Inventory Manager. This position may require periodic weekend/evening work. This is a 2nd shift position and the hours are 2:30-11:00p EST.

Requirements

  • Some warehouse and forklift experience preferred
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs
  • Must have valid driver's license

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with consolidation is highly preferred
  • High school diploma/GED not required

Responsibilities

  • Safely operates PIV equipment, (forklifts, clamp trucks, reach trucks, and order pickers) to load, unload, sort, stack, and stage product
  • Locates and picks material into/out of warehouse racks and between locations
  • Ensure that all equipment in use has been inspected and is in safe operating condition
  • Work with local and regional freight companies
  • Stock and arrange product to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Enters inventory into software system
  • Ensure accuracy of part number, quantity, and other data field entries that impact electronic records of receipts, inventories, and location. Resolves discrepancies as necessary
  • Ensures that pallets are stable, have appropriate height, and are free of damage
  • Prioritizes the timely delivery or removal of designated materials to meet customer needs
  • Performs training, housekeeping, and other duties as assigned
