About The Position

Duties and Responsibilities:  Performs daily counts of inventory and ensures inventory is accounted for  Responsible to keep accurate inventory of raw materials  Maintains adequate inventory levels of all raw materials, including but not limited to blue film inventory and woolpile inventory, to meet production demand.  Ensures that raw materials are staged and ready for production in appropriate areas.  Responsible for Railcar activity and maintaining reports.  Unload other raw materials from trucks and move to storage space.  Responsible for material delivery system maintenance  Responsible for upkeep and maintenance of material storage area  Operates forklift and crane  Bands empty bags, boxes, and move to appropriate areas for disposal or recycling.  All other duties as assigned  Will have 10 or more direct reports  Must collaborate with corporate accounting and purchasing on material counts and reconciliation  Must establish and maintain account and credentials with UP (RR) portal for scheduling any rail movements, BOL reconciliation, ETC.   Works with 3rd part suppliers and recyclers for scheduling, planning and counting raw materials

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft excel. Creating, changing, and maintaining spreadsheets with levels of accuracy.
  • Experience with daily use of SAP, or other business operating is a MUST. If not SAP, will need to be prepared to become proficient quickly.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Proficient computer skills required
  • At least 5 years’ experience in warehouse operations with inventory handling preferred
  • Ability to obtain forklift and crane certification
  • Ability to successfully completed Material Handler training as it relates to railcar off loading
  • Essential functions of this job are to perform a range of physical activities throughout the workday, including balancing, standing, walking, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing and engaging in repetitive motions.
  • An essential function of this job is to lift and or move up to 20 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and/ or a negatable amount of force constantly to move objects.
  • Must be available with predictable and regular attendance onsite to perform the essential functions above under key functions whenever employee is scheduled to work.
