About The Position

The Inventory Control Specialist establishes and publishes weekly inventory count, spot audit, and quality audit schedules. This role communicates and coordinates these schedules with Warehouse Supervisors daily to ensure they can assign the necessary product, equipment, and human resources. The specialist provides daily written and electronic analysis and statistics of inventory count and quality audit results. They also spot audit unloading, receiving, checking, locating, packing, and shipping personnel for all accounts, documenting results in an Excel spreadsheet. This position interacts with supervisors to help identify trends, processes, or people that require corrective action and requires timely response to emails.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • 5 or more years of related work experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent audit skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Ability to work in a cooperative, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong skills in word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Working knowledge of inventory quality control requirements, and industry standards.
  • Highly organized and pay close attention to detail.
  • Must have the ability to use vision, adjust focus and work on a standard computer screen.
  • Use of audio-visual equipment is required.
  • Job may require presence on-site at the assigned work location.
  • Must successfully pass an E-Verify Check.

  • 5 or more years of industry related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes and publishes weekly inventory count, spot audit, and quality audit schedules.
  • Communicates and coordinates inventory count, spot audit, and quality audit schedules with Warehouse Supervisors daily.
  • Provides daily written and electronic copies of analysis and statistics of inventory count and quality audits results.
  • Spot audits unloading, receiving, checking, locating, packing, and shipping personnel for all accounts and documents the results in an Excel spreadsheet.
  • Interacts with supervisors to help identify trends, processes, or people that require corrective action.
  • Reads and responds to all emails in a timely fashion.
