About The Position

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for monitoring internal and offsite storage levels, conducting routine cycle counts, and performing yield tests. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring food safety within the production environment. The position requires a blend of analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in both office and warehouse settings.

Requirements

High school education/equivalent or related experience.
Ability to multi-task with strong prioritization and time management skills.
Attention to detail, follow through, and proven management skills.
Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
Understand the need for and maintain confidentiality.
Must be able to stoop, bend and lift up to 50 pounds throughout shift.
Required to wear steel toed footwear.

Nice To Haves

One year of experience in production preferred.
Forklift certification experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor internal and offsite storage levels.
Conduct routine cycle counts.
Conduct yield tests.
Maintain and ensure food safety.
Report any food safety deviations to your supervisor immediately.
Develop and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM’s) for current material and ingredients.
Analyze and review inventory usage/counts and reconcile discrepancies.
Monitor Inventory transfers between departments.
Respond to requests for information and access relevant files.
Assist with daily, monthly and year-end inventories.
Assist in replenishment buying of ingredients and materials.
Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices, GMP’s.
Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
