About The Position

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for supporting management as needed to accomplish Eaton’s overall objectives of providing on-time delivery of quality products. This role supports and initiates actions with management to ensure that personnel comply with the company’s policies and performance/productivity levels.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without out company sponsorship, now or in the future
  • No relocation is being offered for this role. All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of the Richmond, VA location. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret graphs and charts.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to solve complex practical problems
  • Must be able to simultaneously manage several objectives, and reassign priorities
  • Ability to deal with a wide variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Individual may be required to sit, stand and walk regularly
  • Individual must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion.
  • Individual must be able to express and/or exchange ideas by means of listening and using spoken word
  • Individual must have the visual acuity to perform essential job functions
  • Individual may be required to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, push and/or pull.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience in a warehouse environment
  • Prior experience with Microsoft applications
  • Ability to inspire, motivate and influence diverse global teams
  • Ability to lead and work in cross-functional multi-cultural teams

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for root cause analysis on troubled inventory
  • Ability to find lost inventory items
  • Ability to understand inputs and outputs of inventory systems
  • Ability perform cycle counting as needed
  • Ability to work autonomously without direct supervision
  • Ability to coordinate with team lead, inventory workers, and material handlers to solve various issues.
  • Ability to effective use ERP systems and basic Microsoft applications (excel)
  • Ability to work cross functional across plants
  • Ability to operate forklift and electrical pallet jack as needed.
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
