About The Position

Inventory control specialists manage finished goods, ingredients, and packaging materials at plant locations. The role includes monitoring bulk ingredient levels and silo rotation, ensuring raw materials are rotated on a FIFO basis, leading inventory processes, and helping reconcile inventory discrepancies with the Plant Warehouse Manager. The specialist also documents material receipts and transfers in Abimar’s system, assists with year-end inventory preparation, maintains a clean and safe work area, and operates a forklift and other machinery safely and professionally.

Requirements

Direct working experience in inventory control, preferably involving warehousing and wholesale distribution.
High school diploma.
Experience in an inventory-related field.
Strong organizational skills.
Computer proficiency, specifically with SAP and MS Office software.
Ability to adapt promptly to changes in working conditions and resolve problems without delay.
Ability to perform effectively under pressure, including when inventory deliveries or transfers are forgotten or delayed and when issues arise within SAP.
Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously and effectively.

Responsibilities

Ensure raw materials are rotated in inventory on a FIFO basis.
Lead inventory processes for finished goods, ingredients, and packaging materials.
Work with the Plant Warehouse Manager to reconcile discrepancies in a timely manner.
Assist with documentation in Abimar’s system for receiving and transferring materials.
Assist with preparation of year-end inventory.
Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times.
Operate a forklift and other machinery safely and professionally.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Plant Warehouse Manager.
