About The Position

Verst Logistics Inc. is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to create and maintain accurate records of all inventories, ensuring proper accounting for product shipments and receipts. This role involves daily physical counts, maintaining records, reconciling supplies, reviewing production kits, and assisting in warehouse organization and inventory control improvements. The specialist will also account for defective/damaged product and aid in daily production scheduling based on inventory levels.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Able to follow specific instructions thoroughly and accurately, and provide instructions to other associates as needed.
Ability to understand, follow and enforce company policies and procedures.
Must be able to operate a cherry picker.

Nice To Haves

1-3 years prior experience operating a forklift in a high volume environment.

Responsibilities

Completes daily physical count of materials in facility including raw materials, finished goods, and label room to ensure accurate record keeping and availability of product.
Maintains records and develops reports for the reconciliation of supplies inventories.
Reviews productions kits to ensure that inventory is on hand.
Updates and maintains worksheet of materials scheduled to be produced.
Completes required paperwork on cycle counts and inventory levels as needed for review by production managers.
Assists in the organization of warehouse and improvement of inventory control operations.
Accounts for all defective or damaged product and follows appropriate corrective actions.
Assists in developing daily production scheduling based on inventory counts and needs.
Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times and streamline work processes.
Provides backup support to Packaging Operators as needed.
Participates in departmental meetings.
Operate forklift as required.
