About The Position

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for establishing and publishing weekly inventory count, spot audit, and quality audit schedules. This role involves daily communication and coordination with Warehouse Supervisors to ensure necessary resources are allocated for schedule completion. The specialist will provide daily written and electronic reports on inventory count and quality audit results, and conduct spot audits of various warehouse personnel and processes, documenting findings in Excel. This position also requires interaction with supervisors to identify trends and areas needing corrective action, and timely email correspondence. The role may also include other assigned duties. Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • 5 or more years of related work experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent audit skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Ability to work in a cooperative, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong skills in word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Working knowledge of inventory quality control requirements, and industry standards.
  • Must be highly organized and pay close attention to detail.
  • Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch.
  • Frequently required to climb or balance.
  • Regularly lift and/or move 50 pounds.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds by hand.

Nice To Haves

  • 5 or more years of industry related experience preferred.
  • Professional certification may be required in some areas.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes and publishes weekly inventory count, spot audit, and quality audit schedules.
  • Communicates and coordinates inventory count, spot audit, and quality audit schedules with Warehouse Supervisors daily.
  • Provides daily written and electronic copies of analysis and statistics of inventory count and quality audits results.
  • Spot audits unloading, receiving, checking, locating, packing, and shipping personnel for all accounts and documents the results in an Excel spreadsheet.
  • Interacts with supervisors to help identify trends, processes, or people that require corrective action.
  • Reads and responds to all emails in a timely fashion.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
