About The Position

The Inventory Control Specialist is primarily responsible for inventory control, receiving accuracy, and compliance routines that support store operations. The role executes receiving, inventory adjustment, reconciliation, transfer, buyback/RTV, compliance, and reporting processes while maintaining partnership with the Store Operations Manager. Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Possess a valid driver’s license.
Read, write, and count accurately.
Basic computer skills/experience.
Basic math skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to resolve issues ethically and with minimal conflict.

Nice To Haves

Shipping/receiving experience preferred but not required.
Retail experience and/or farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge is strongly preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Work scheduled shifts, and have the ability to work varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime as dictated by business needs.

Deliver Legendary Service and reinforce Leading with Legendary behaviors through Customer engagement, Team Member coaching, and accountability for execution.
Complete forklift and propane inspections and key propane use as required.
Pull OMNI orders in the morning and support BOPIS/OMNI reconciliation routines.
Complete BOPIS Reconciliation Report and BODFS Reconciliation Report according to company standards.
Receive Direct POs, Mixing Center freight, Bulk Center freight, and DC receiving transfers, including new and open transfers.
Receive and key truck, execute truck unload plan, stage totes for Freight Team Leader, and complete Loader Feedback Survey.
Stock and tag direct vendor freight, front/sidelot DC freight, and leather footwear according to process standards.
Create Fill to Capacity picklists for the Freight Team as assigned.
Key inventory adjustments and correct or adjust inventory discrepancies according to company process and Store Operations Manager direction.
Review Negative On Hand Report and execute required follow-up.
Review and execute buybacks and RTV processes.
Check ACT for assigned tasks and complete assigned receiving, inventory, and compliance actions.
Key daily defectives, print Summary Report, and submit to the Store Operations Manager.
Complete Fire Extinguisher sign off, Biological Cooler rotation, PER review, Battery Program routines, and hazardous waste disposal program requirements.
Complete monthly food expiration reviews for Feed/Food and Registers.
Check High Dollar List; find and label Rainchecks, BOPIS DC Transfer, and Subscription items.
Process UPS/FedEx shipments, freight claims, used oil recycling, and used tires recycling where applicable.
Complete Layaway Review, Special Order Review, Raincheck Review, INR Review, RGO Review, Open and New Transfers In Review, and Verify Ship to Store Orders.
Partner with the Store Operations Manager on inventory control, compliance, receiving standards, and process follow-up.
Operate forklift, baler, cash register/computer, and other equipment as needed; assist customers with loading purchases.
Complete all documentation associated with the above job duties accurately and timely.
Obtain license or certifications as needed by the business.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
