The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining and promoting the accuracy of retail store inventory. This involves reviewing various inventory reports, conducting on-demand inventory audits, and communicating results with store management. This multi-function role requires partnership with sales floor and receiving teams, as well as retail leadership, to ensure inventory accuracy, promote replenishment and sales, and mitigate merchandise loss and shrink for the organization. The position also provides customer service support throughout the store, including greeting and acknowledging all customers in a prompt and friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing information, assistance, and direction to customers. Essential functions include maintaining inventory integrity and accuracy through cycle counts, conducting empty peg and display integrity scans, investigating and reconciling inventory variance reports, reviewing and distributing price change reports, and completing inventory adjustments. The specialist communicates opportunities, issues, and discrepancies with Store Leadership for review and resolution and provides a legendary customer experience by assisting with buying decisions, making product recommendations, and promoting programs like CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
