About The Position

The Inventory Coordinator manages and maintains accurate inventory records of raw and graded eggs, packaging materials, and supplies within an egg grading facility. The role supports timely and efficient inventory tracking and production planning while following USDA and food safety standards. It also coordinates with receiving, shipping, production, QA, and logistics teams to ensure inventory aligns with operational needs.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 2 years of inventory or warehouse experience, preferably in food production.
Familiarity with USDA regulations and food safety standards.
Proficiency in inventory software and Microsoft Excel.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work in cold storage environments.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree in logistics or supply chain.

Responsibilities

Monitor and record incoming and outgoing inventory of raw eggs, graded eggs, and packaging materials.
Conduct daily cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
Maintain accurate inventory logs in digital systems, such as ERP or inventory software.
Ensure the FIFO (First-In, First-Out) method is followed for all egg products.
Coordinate with receiving and shipping teams to verify quantities and quality of incoming and outgoing products.
Assist in preparing shipping documentation and labels.
Ensure proper storage conditions, including temperature control at or below 45°F.
Ensure inventory practices comply with the USDA Shell Egg Manual and facility SOPs.
Maintain traceability records for all batches and lots.
Support audits and inspections by providing accurate inventory documentation.
Liaise with production, QA, and logistics teams to ensure inventory aligns with operational needs.
Report low stock levels and assist in reordering supplies.
Promptly communicate inventory issues or discrepancies to management.
