About The Position

The P&L Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for managing inventory within the Wine Storeroom. This role involves accurately counting inventory, fulfilling orders, updating the computer system, receiving and unloading trucks, and stocking items using proper stock rotation procedures. The specialist will also communicate product needs for ordering and maintain a neat, clean, and safe work area. This position requires the ability to work independently with some supervision and adapt to changing circumstances.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
• Good telephone etiquette and good writing skills.
• Ability to interact with internal and external customers efficiently and respectfully.
• Aptitude for math, number/detail oriented.
• Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with keyboard and typing.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to cope with constantly changing circumstances in a positive manner.
• Must be able to manage time.
• Must be able to multi-task.
• Must be able pay attention to detail and proof read for accuracy.

Nice To Haves

• Warehouse inventory, retail or food related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Count inventory, fill orders, and post orders to the computer system.
• Receive trucks, unload shipments, and place items into stock using stock rotation procedures.
• Interact effectively with internal and external customers.
• Communicate product needs for ordering.
• Keep the work area neat, clean, and safe at all times.
• Follow Wine Storeroom Operations & Procedures.
