This position performs cycle counts within all areas of the warehouse as well as compiles and reports all findings to the management team, working in a multi-temp (freezer, cooler, Dry) Distribution Center. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels, ensuring transactions in the system are accurately and timely executed, and that Inventory Adjustments are documented, accurately and timely posted. The Inventory Control Specialist will collaborate with Operational Teams to ensure compliance and best practice procedures are adhered to.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Basic leadership skills with the willingness to learn, improve, and adapt.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in mathematics.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Experience in an inventory/materials role preferred.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management and ERP Systems, Manhattan TLM/WM SAP preferred.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Experienced in using an RF gun preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily cycle count activities in accordance with NDCP procedures.
  • Identify and properly correct inventory discrepancies at the location level as needed, including count, location, hidden damages, etc.
  • Prepare reports using Manhattan, SAP, and Excel, and present findings to Management.
  • Work with key personnel to identify and effectively implement process improvements to operational procedures to proactively optimize overall location and item-level accuracy and maintain the highest possible productivity levels.
  • Check in daily returns, RAR’s, damages, and overages.
  • Verify the code-dated product is rotated properly.
  • Provide as needed troubleshooting, analysis, and recommendations on inventory systems hardware (RF scanners, mobile hand-held computer/scanners, vehicle-mounted data terminals).
  • Move pallets with forklift or powered jacks.
  • Participate on project teams as needed.
