About The Position

Tennant Company is a global leader in the cleaning equipment industry with over $1B in revenue and a 150-year history of innovation and sustainability. The Inventory Control Associate monitors and maintains the integrity of warehouse inventory and storage locations through analysis, reporting, and item/material master audit/input. This role is crucial for ensuring the right parts are in the right location at the right time to meet customer demand and comply with financial (SOX) regulations. The position involves real-time resolution of 'Not In Location' (NIL) issues, corrective actions for inventory variances, and reviewing historical transactions.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma OR GED required.
  • Minimum 1 year distribution or manufacturing experience.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to lift to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Some college preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year Inventory Control experience preferred.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing initiatives preferred.
  • 1 year SAP experience preferred.
  • Equipment experience or willingness to learn is required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and complete the cycle count process.
  • Reconcile inventory differences and identify root causes.
  • Maintain accuracy of items and material master.
  • Identify irregularities in daily operational processes that create inventory issues.
  • Assist with cycle counting and process audits.
  • Respond to and resolve NIL issues in real time.
  • Research and resolve problem parts brought to the Penalty Box/Hospital Cart.
  • Provide timely and appropriate reporting of requested metrics and KPIs.
  • Perform other duties as determined by supervisor/management team.
  • Engage in continuous improvement and 5S initiatives.
