About The Position

Poly-America, L.P. is currently seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to join our Shipping/Receiving department. Poly-America produces several lines of polyethylene products including high quality trash bags, construction films, and geomembrane liners. Poly-America is also the most technologically advanced and largest recycler and compounder of polyethylene in the world.

Requirements

• Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control
• Ability to reconcile stock counts to report data
• Ability to analyze and solve problems
• Ability to receive, stock, and/or deliver goods
• Able to lift up to 50lbs
• Comfortable working in outside and non-climate controlled work environments
• Exceptional attention to detail, and accurately document information
• Excellent organizational skills
• Basic math skills are needed
• Need to count correctly and accurately
• Need knowledge of unit of measurement conversion
• Computer literate and able to quickly learn required software
• Good communication skills
• Successfully passing a drug screen is required for this position

Nice To Haves

• Shipping and receiving experience is preferred
• Manufacturing industry experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Processing orders and all associated documents
• Processing transfer orders
• Staging of material
• Return of material
• Performing cycle counts in a timely manner to ensure timely and accurate accounting of materials
• Receiving, unpacking, and delivering goods
• Processing and documenting returns as required following established procedures
• Adjusting errors in the system if necessary
• Accurately monitoring and storing inventory
• Resolving discrepancies in inventories using provided resources
