About The Position

This role is responsible for managing and overseeing inventory control processes. The Inventory Control Specialist establishes and publishes schedules for inventory counts, spot audits, and quality audits. They communicate daily with Warehouse Supervisors to coordinate these schedules and ensure necessary resources are allocated. The specialist also provides regular analysis and statistics on audit results, interacts with supervisors to identify areas for improvement, and manages all email communications efficiently. A key part of the role involves conducting spot audits of various warehouse personnel activities and documenting findings in Excel.

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • 5 or more years of related work experience
  • Talking, hearing and using hands to operate computer equipment
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus

Nice To Haves

  • 5 or more years of industry related experience preferred
  • Professional certification may be required in some areas

Responsibilities

  • Establishes and publishes weekly inventory count, spot audit, and quality audit schedules.
  • Communicates and coordinates inventory count, spot audit, and quality audit schedules with Warehouse Supervisors daily.
  • Provides daily written and electronic copies of analysis and statistics of inventory count and quality audits results.
  • Spot audits unloading, receiving, checking, locating, packing, and shipping personnel for all accounts and documents the results in an Excel spreadsheet.
  • Interacts with supervisors to help identify trends, processes, or people that require corrective action.
  • Reads and responds to all emails in a timely fashion.
