About The Position

The Inventory Control Specialist at Crane, a leader in logistics, is responsible for establishing and publishing weekly inventory count, spot audit, and quality audit schedules. This role involves daily communication and coordination of these schedules with Warehouse Supervisors to ensure proper allocation of product, equipment, and human resources. The specialist will provide daily written and electronic analysis and statistics of inventory count and quality audit results. Key duties also include conducting spot audits of unloading, receiving, checking, locating, packing, and shipping personnel across all accounts, documenting findings in Excel, and collaborating with supervisors to identify trends, processes, or personnel requiring corrective action. Requirements

  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have excellent audit skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities
  • Must have the ability to work in a cooperative, team-oriented environment
  • Strong skills in word processing and spreadsheet applications
  • Working knowledge of inventory quality control requirements, and industry standards
  • Must be highly organized and pay close attention to detail
  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • 5 or more years of related work experience

Nice To Haves

  • 5 or more years of industry related experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Establishes and publishes weekly inventory count, spot audit, and quality audit schedules.
  • Communicates and coordinates inventory count, spot audit, and quality audit schedules with Warehouse Supervisors daily – so that supervisors can assign necessary product, equipment, and human resources needed to complete schedule.
  • Provides daily written and electronic copies of analysis and statistics of inventory count and quality audits results.
  • Spot audit unloading, receiving, checking, locating, packing, and shipping personnel for all accounts and documents the results in an Excel spreadsheet.
  • Interacts with supervisors to help identify trends, processes, or people that require corrective action.
  • Read and respond to all emails in a timely fashion.
  • Other duties as assigned
