About The Position

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for establishing and publishing weekly inventory count, spot audit, and quality audit schedules. This role involves daily communication and coordination with Warehouse Supervisors to ensure necessary resources are allocated for scheduled audits. The specialist will provide daily written and electronic reports on audit results, analyze trends, and identify areas for corrective action. Additionally, the role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in communication and spreadsheet applications.

  • Professional certification may be required in some areas.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes and publishes weekly inventory count, spot audit, and quality audit schedules.
  • Communicates and coordinates inventory count, spot audit, and quality audit schedules with Warehouse Supervisors daily.
  • Provides daily written and electronic copies of analysis and statistics of inventory count and quality audits results.
  • Spot audits unloading, receiving, checking, locating, packing, and shipping personnel for all accounts and documents the results in an Excel spreadsheet.
  • Interacts with supervisors to help identify trends, processes, or people that require corrective action.
  • Reads and responds to all emails in a timely fashion.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
