About The Position

Elk Grove Subaru is looking for a detail-oriented and driven Automotive Used Vehicle Buyer to join their growing team. The position involves sourcing and acquiring used vehicles, maintaining inventory levels, and collaborating with sales and service teams.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent, 18 years or older required
• Previous experience as an automotive buyer, appraiser, or related role preferred
• Strong understanding of used vehicle market trends and values
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency with tools like vAuto, Auction Edge, and dealership management systems is a plus

Responsibilities

• Source and acquire high-quality used vehicles through auctions, trade-ins, private sellers, and dealer networks
• Evaluate vehicle condition, history, and market value to make smart purchasing decisions
• Maintain proper inventory levels based on sales trends and market demand
• Work closely with sales and service teams to align inventory with customer needs
• Build and maintain strong relationships with wholesalers, auctions, and other vehicle suppliers
• Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with dealership standards
