About The Position

The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for managing and controlling the processes and procedures that affect the quantity, quality, and accuracy of product inventory at a Chadwell Supply distribution facility. The Inventory Control Manager performs and oversees the daily cycle counts of products, procedures related to customer warranties, customer and vendor returns and prepares for and oversees the annual physical inventory. He/she also researches product quantity discrepancies and works with the Branch Manager to effect changes as required in processes, procedures, or Inventory Control staff. In addition, he/she participates in the recruiting, hiring, and training of new employees and approves timecards, administers performance reviews, and applies disciplinary measures as appropriate, all while coaching and developing their employees to be successful at Chadwell Supply.

Requirements

Minimum of 25 years of age.
Pass all pre-employment, background check, and drug testing.
Previous employee supervision experience.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a warehouse working environment.
Fluent in reading, writing, understanding and communicating in English.
Basic literacy skills.
Excellent computer skills.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Working knowledge of ERP systems and warehouse operations.
Prior experience with cycle counting.
Ability to learn and adapt to changes in work processes.

Responsibilities

Managing and controlling processes and procedures affecting product inventory quantity, quality, and accuracy.
Performing and overseeing daily cycle counts of products.
Managing procedures related to customer warranties, customer returns, and vendor returns.
Preparing for and overseeing the annual physical inventory.
Researching product quantity discrepancies and working with the Branch Manager to implement necessary changes.
Participating in recruiting, hiring, and training new employees.
Approving timecards, administering performance reviews, and applying disciplinary measures.
Coaching and developing employees.
Striving to provide excellent customer service satisfaction through prompt and accurate product checking, counting, and stocking, along with communication with company personnel.
Overseeing product receiving, checking, counting, and stocking.
Overseeing down stocking from overstock of any products to ensure warehouse picking locations are filled for efficiency and accuracy.
Ensuring all stocked products are accurately recorded by bin location and quantity in the computer system.
Overseeing Inventory Control department staff in receiving and ensuring inbound products are checked and counted against packing slips.
Reviewing receiving documents for quantity and shipment accuracy.
Ensuring all products are stocked and shelved in the correct bin locations.
Changing product bin locations as required for proper bin management and space allocation.
Ensuring the quantity in the computer system is correct.
Overseeing the daily inspection of all warehouse product aisles and areas and receiving written notification of any unsafe conditions.
Overseeing or performing daily cycle counting, and processing of customer returns, warranties, and vendor returns.
Verifying that all cycle counts performed by Inventory Control are completed promptly and accurately.
Assisting in keeping the warehouse clean and safe.
Researching and resolving inventory discrepancies.
Overseeing the return process to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and timely resolution of issues.
